County of Newport Community Review

The Commission has received notification from Newport County Council that it has completed a Community Review and has submitted its report.

The Commission must now determine whether to make an Order giving effect to the recommendations contained within the report, in line with the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013.

The Commission must wait for a period of 6 weeks following receipt of the report before it makes an Order. The Commission will accept representations on the Council's Final Recommendations until 11 September 2026.
